For well over 3 years, back in the early 2000s, I illustrated chalkboards for the Pancake Parlour Restaurants across Melbourne. However, I'd never call myself a chalkboard artist for most 'true' illustrators would leave me for dead when comparing our efforts. My chalkboards back then where more about communicating sales messages to get peoples attention. Therefore it was a great surprise to get a call from some former creatives who knew I did these types of illustrations to help out with their client. The end result was a great little 'sales menu' that assisted in a terrific return for the owners at the CRT tradeshow the board was display at.
